Game Log

I was inspired by LuigiBlood's Game Log to make one of my own, so here it is! Keep in mind that I will keep adding to this over time as I remember more of the hundreds of games I've played before. Also, keep in mind that a lot of games I haven't finished yet won't be on here, so don't call me a fraud if you find my Steam library and see that there's hundreds more games in there that I haven't written about.

This log is in alphabetical order, not in order of when I played the games or how much I liked them. You'll also notice that I'm pretty positive about almost all of the games on this list. Buckle up, you're in for a wild ride of opinions and anecdotes.

A Hat in Time Gears for Breakfast [PC, 2017] Will never 100%
This is an amazing collect-a-thon 3D platformer. If it weren't for the Death Wish DLC, I'd say it has the most perfect difficulty level of any game I've ever played. But because of Death Wish, I completely gave up on 100%ing it. Thanks a lot :P

Amanda the Adventurer MANGLEDmaw Games [PC, 2023] Finished (100%)
A really decent horror game with some pretty hard puzzles. I felt very sympathetic towards Amanda. Props to MANGLEDmaw for making a good video game dad character.

Amanda the Adventurer 2 MANGLEDmaw Games [PC, 2024] Finished
A great sequel to the first game with a larger location and longer length. I wonder if there will be a third game and what it'll have in store?

Anemoiapolis Andrew Quist [PC, 2023] Finished
Mostly just a walking simulator, but very enjoyable. I'd really only recommend if you're a fellow liminal space enjoyer. It seems like there will be future installments in the Anemoiapolis series, so keep an eye out for that.

Bio Prototype Emprom Game [PC, 2024/2025] Finished (100%)
What's with the weird release date I've written down here? Well, Bio Prototype has had a troubled history with its previous publisher, BD Games. In June of 2024, BD Games was banned from Steam for unknown reasons and all games they published had their store pages removed, including Bio Prototype. The developers have created a new Steam page for the game that is set to re-release in January 2025. Before any of this happened, though, I managed to grab the game and earn all achievements! It has a Survivors-like combat style with a unique weapon system where you collect organs and need to combine them in specific ways to melt your opponents. Once the re-release happens, I highly suggest you try it out.

Bioweaver Emprom Game [PC, 2024]
The sequel to Bio Prototype with a different gameplay loop and more focus on meta progression. Still, the core theme of combining organs to make broken combos is the same and is just as genius as its prececessor, with more room to optimize.

Bloons TD 6 Ninja Kiwi [PC/Mobile, 2018]
An amazing tower defense game in its own right, Bloons TD 6 gains extra points from me for having amazing developers. They constantly push new content updates and are very transparent with the community. It'll be many more years before I will ever come close to 100%ing it.

Broken Reality Dynamic Media Triad [PC, 2018]
An old-web/vaporwave-ish puzzle adventure game with unmatched aesthetic. I really need to get back into it and play it, because it's great.

Cooking Companions Deer Dream Studios [PC, 2021] Finished (100%)
A spooky visual novel with very effective scares. It definitely took watching the Game Theory episodes for me to understand any greater meaning, but I enjoyed the game nonetheless.

Cult of the Lamb Massive Monster [PC, 2022] Finished (working on 100%)
If I had a nickel for every time I've played an indie game published by Devolver Digital that sports a flawless mixture of multiple genres, a wonderful art direction, a killer soundtrack, and a first major enemy who is covered in leaves and named Leshy, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

DELTARUNE Toby Fox [PC, 2018]
An amazing sequel to Undertale that is currently unfinished. Either go play the demo now or wait until the full game is completed and avoid spoilers until then. I still remember the day Chapter 1 released, when the entire game was a mystery. Downloading the mystery survey program and opening it up to discover it wasn't exactly what it seemed will probably be a core memory for me forever. Chapter 2 eventually released and it was even better than Chapter 1. I remember playing through the Snowgrave route when even its existence was just a rumor. I was only able to beat Snowgrave Spamton NEO using what is known as the Big Shot glitch, which was "patched" soon after in the most Toby Fox way imaginable, so I'll probably never be able to do it again.

Doki Doki Literature Club Team Salvato [PC, 2017] Finished (100%?)
When I first played this game shortly after it released, it scared the absolute shit out of me. I freaked out and quit the game. After I calmed down, though, I watched a YouTube video with all the scares in it. I would eventually replay the game, prepared, and really enjoy it this time. No further spoilers. Natsuki best girl.

Dollmare Alex Grade, gonzeek, and Oxeren [PC, 2024] Finished (100%)
A short but very good horror game that I managed to 100% (with some guides to find hidden pages) in just 3 hours, during which I got pretty good at sorting the dolls and never made more than one mistake per ingame day. The game has two endings and a great atmosphere. Honestly, I think I would thrive sorting dolls in the Sweet Cheeks factory. The Director should look into hiring more autistic employees.

Garten of Banban Chapter 1 Euphoric Stinky Crybabies who Suck [PC, 2023] Finished (sadly)
The game is free and I still want a refund.

House Flipper Empyrean [PC, 2018]
I didn't know cleaning and refurbishing homes would be so fun if you removed everything that made it unfun by turning it into a video game! Jokes aside, it's a good game.

House Flipper 2 Frozen District [PC, 2023]
It's like House Flipper, but better! Actually not quite. Right now, the game does not automatically save before-and-after pictures of your work like in House Flipper 1, so I'm waiting until they add that to actually play more of the game.

Hypnospace Outlaw Tendershoot, Michael Lasch, and ThatWhichIs Media [PC, 2019]
If anemoia was a game, it would be Hypnospace Outlaw. This game makes me long for the year 1999. I was born in 2003. What the hell is this witchcraft. I really need to get back into the game and finally complete it.

Inscryption Daniel Mullins Games [PC, 2021] Finished
Holy crap. This is a masterpiece! The vibes. The multiple acts. The gameplay loop that really makes you feel like you're doing slightly better each time. The "mod" that truly transforms the game into what the first act pretends to be. Inscryption is one of my favorite games I've ever played.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land HAL Laboratory [Switch, 2022] Finished
Kirby's flawless expansion into 3D platforming is probably the best in gaming history since Super Mario 64, and unlike the latter, I was there to witness it. The design of the new characters is the perfect mix of the Kirby style and extreme furry bait. The game will take you a while to beat and there's plenty of postgame content.

Kirby Super Star Ultra HAL Laboratory [DS, 2008] Lost my cartridge and can't finish :(
This was my very first Kirby title! I was kinda ass at it, though, and could never find all the treasures in The Great Cave Offensive, birthing my completionist gaming style. I no longer have any idea where my cartridge went, so I could never go back and finish the game.

Kirby's Epic Yarn Good-Feel and HAL Laboratory [DS, 2010] Finished
One of the very first video games I was ever any good at, I played this for hours on end in co-op mode with my little brother. It was one of our most significnat sibling bonding experiences. I'd later come back as a teen to beat it by myself. One of my favorite Kirby games ever made.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story AlphaDream (R.I.P.) [DS, 2009] Finished
A classic Mario & Luigi title that I enjoyed very much, with a good length, fun combat, and great use of humor. It definitely couldn't be made today, though, because it definitely contributed to some people's, uh, "awakening" by making them realize they're into v- (gets shot in the head and dies)

Mario & Luigi: Brothership Acquire [Switch, 2024]
I prefered the DS and 3DS titles, but this is as close as a 3D art style can possibly get to replicating the classic Mario & Luigi charm. The pacing is a little weird but I still enjoy the battle system and I'm glad there's an actual quest tracker now.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time AlphaDream (R.I.P.) [DS, 2005] Finished
The very first Mario & Luigi title on the DS, and boy did it set a good precendent! As a kid, I was stuck on the l33tspeak koopas for hours on end, not because I sucked at dodging them (I got very good at it over the course of those hours) but because I had the Bros. move practice badge equipped, meaning I dealt almost no damage to them. I was convinced it was worth it in the long run because it would mean I'd never need to buy more Bros. items. I was so dumb.

Minecraft Mojang [PC, 2011] Unfinishable
It's Minecraft, the most popular video game of all time. What can I say?

Mouthwashing Wrong Organ [PC, 2024] Finished
An instant classic of a story-driven horror game with heavy symbolism, dark themes, and a fandom split cleanly into a very wholesome half and a much less wholesome half that I refuse to engage with. I won't go into too much detail, both to avoid spoilers and to adhere to my website's own goal of being mostly PG-13.

MySims EA [Wii, 2007]
I have the Cozy Bundle Switch port as well, but I played it much more on the Wii when I was younger. Obviously not on release in early 2007, I was only three years old, but years later. It's one of the most nostalgic gaming experiences for me. Good game.

New Pokémon Snap Nintendo [Switch, 2021]
I didn't even know Pokémon Snap existed until this was revealed. I really enjoy the gameplay and the art looks fantastic. I'm glad they finally gave Meganium some love.

New Super Mario Bros Nintendo [DS, 2006]
I somewhat remember trying to play this and sucking severely. I don't think I ever came back to it after that.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii Nintendo [Wii, 2009]
I barely remember playing this game, but I definitely did because we owned it. Sadly, at this time period, I was absolutely awful, so I never would have been able to beat it.

OneShot Future Cat LLC [PC, 2016] Finished
A puzzle adventure meta-story game that has many Undertale-like elements. Niko is precious and must be protected at all cost. This is a really good game.

Ooblets Glumberland [PC, 2023 (on Steam)] Finished
A cute and silly farming and creature-collecting game where you dance your way out of conflict. The characters practically have their own English language dialect and yet you can somehow understand every word.

Palworld Pocketpair [PC, 2024 (early access)]
I'm not even close to finishing it and the game is still in Early Access, but I wanted to put it here mostly to show that I'm really rooting for them to win that lawsuit because I hate how litigious Nintendo is. No other developer they've sued has ever had the resources to actually put up a fight in court. A precedent needs to be set. Good game btw.

Peglin Red Nexus Games Inc. [PC, 2024]
A unique roguelite (not quite rogueLIKE, as there is some meta progression with unlockable items) completely built on puns. So, so many puns. Good thing I like puns, so I think the game is great.

Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition PopCap (R.I.P.) [PC, 2009] Finished
An absolute classic and probably my favorite tower defense game of all time. There are still a few achievements I have yet to unlock. I might need my mom's help with the I, Zombie and Vasebreaker Endless achievements! She played the game long before I was old enough to understand a single thing about it.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond Nintendo [Switch, 2021]
It's alright. I lost interest somewhat before I managed to finish it, but it seems decent enough. I definitely like the art style of the actual DS-era games a lot more.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus Nintendo [Switch, 2022]
This game is awesome! I love the new direction they took the series in. The slightly different combat system is great and the new Hisuian forms are super cool. I can't wait for Legends: Z-A.

Pokémon Let's Go Eevee Nintendo [Switch, 2018] Finished
I'm pretty sure this was not my first Pokémon game. It might have been? Eh, whatever. I did enjoy it a lot and it's a pretty good option for someone new to the series, as it is quite easy. This game is definitely the main reason why I've never been misinformed about Onix's true size, as it's probably the only Pokémon game that accurately portrays it.

Pokémon Sword Nintendo [Switch, 2019] Finished
I'm pretty sure this was my very first Pokémon game. In my freshman year of high school, I had gym class, and I would always walk with this one senior-year girl whose name I have long since forgotten. After I complimented her Pokémon shirt, she seemed to recognize that I was a fellow aspie and started talking about it all the time. She eventually convinced me to try out a Pokémon game for myself. She had Shield, so I got Sword. Untainted by nostalgia or mixed online reviews, I had a blast. Now Pokémon is one of my longest-lasting hyperfixations, and it all started here.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Nintendo [Mobile, 2024] Will probably play forever :)
This game is pretty awesome. I remember being incredibly excited for it to be released, and I've played every single day since. Why are people complaining about this being a gacha game? It's a game where you OPEN CARD PACKS. Card packs contain random cards. That's how card packs work. Idiots.

Pokémon Violet Nintendo [Switch, 2022] Finished
The lag is the game's only real problem, but I also think they could have done a much better job with the whole "beat the gyms in any order you want" deal. Sure, you can TRY to beat them in any order, but their levels and team strength won't change, so you should probably just use an online guide to figure out the order in which to do all the major story events. Still, a step in the right direction, and I love the changes made to the actual Pokémon models in this installment.

Pony Island Daniel Mullins Games [PC, 2016] Finished
A fantastic horror game that I beat in a little under 3 hours. It was a long time ago so I don't remember many specifics but I did enjoy it thoroughly. I also didn't 100% it, so maybe I'll need to replay it sometime.

Portal Valve [PC, 2007] Finished
This (game) was a triumph. We do (play) what we must (Portal) because we can (and want to). Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week. Anyway, yeah, this game is a classic for a goddamn reason. Go play it, nerd.

Portal 2 Valve [PC, 2011] Finished
I will never love anyone ever again. 10/10. Ok, just kidding (about the never loving anyone part, not the 10/10 part). Imaagine Portal if it was even better. That's Portal 2. When I played through it for the first time, I streamed the entire thing to a long-time friend on Discord so he could help me with puzzles if I needed it. Experiencing the game with a friend made it even better.

Poppy Playtime Mob Entertainment [PC, 2021]
A horror game that's not nearly as bad as many people say. I actually quite like it! The puzzles are a good difficulty level and the grab-pack mechanic is fun. Chapter 3 (the most recent chapter as I write this) really upped the scare factor and the game has good atmosphere all around. I will definitely be playing future chapters.

PUMPKIN PANIC Bilalaika [PC, 2024] Finished (sorta)
Don't be fooled! This does NOT play like a typical farming simulator. It's a survival horror game and it is very difficult. A recent update added a hard mode which I'm nowhere close to beating, as I've only just barely managed to win normal mode. Even if I do manage to beat it, I'll probably never be able to beat the speedrunning achievements.

RimWorld Ludeon Studios [PC, 2018] Unfinishable
Do I suck ass at this game? Yeah, kinda. Do I only play on the third-easiest difficulty? Unapologetically. Do I ever reach the lategame? Not very often. Am I a little annoyed that the first letters in each of the DLC's names aren't going to spell out the name of the game, like it seemed to after Royalty and Ideology? Uh-huh. Do I still love this game to death for its replayability, flexibility, and modability? Absolutely.

Scribblenauts Unlimited 5th Cell [Wii U, DS, PC, 2012] Finished
I linked the Steam version, but I have much more playtime on the Wii U version. I fondly remember taking turns with my brother, handing the gamepad back and forth, each of us creating the wildest custom objects. I'm pretty sure we beat the game eventually, but it took a while because we weren't great at actually completing the missions and spent most of our time goofing off.

Shadows Over Loathing Asymmetric [PC, 2022]
As of writing the first version of this Game Log, this is my most recently played game. I actually started playing right after it first came out, but got stuck in the first half and no walkthroughs had been written yet, so I forgot about it for 2 years. Now I'm back and trying to complete it. It's a sequel to one of the greatest games of all time (and one of the last games on this alphabetical list), West of Loathing, which I actually DID complete (but not 100%). Shadows Over Loathing is amazing for all the same reasons. One of the companions you unlock is even a lesbian, so that's an automatic bonus. Aspects of the game are based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, but if you see the art style, you wouldn't think the game can be scary. Some aspects are definitely far creepier than you'd expect. You'll see if you play it.

Slime Rancher Monomi Park [PC, 2017] Finished
What a cute game and an excellent take on the oversaturated farming-sim genre! I am very attached to these little blobs and their little plorts and the idea that I'm helping people back on Earth with my ranching antics (rantics?). The story is surprisingly heartfelt. Go play it!

Slime Rancher 2 Monomi Park [PC, 2022 (early access)]
A charming sequel to Slime Rancher that isn't even finished yet! Slime Rancher 2 is in early access and still holds its own. I'll have more to say in the future, when the full game releases and I manage to complete it.

Smile For Me LimboLane [PC, 2019] Finished (100%)
A weird and interesting puzzle-y game about... dismantling a cult? Sure, let's go with that. It has multiple endings and a great art direction. I was able to 100% it in about 3 and a half hours. No more spoilers for you, silly! Play the game!

Squirrel Stapler David Szymanski [PC, 2023] Finished (100%)
A game about "hunting squirrels, stapling them to a corpse, and meeting God." Couldn't have said it better myself. It's a horror game but it's not actually all that scary. I 100%ed it in an hour and a half. Is it bad that I actually enjoyed the hunting gameplay? That was fun.

Starbound Chucklefish [PC, 2016] Finished
I really love this spacefaring sandbox game. So much that I made a really popular mod for it! Yep, that was me! The Zodikid mod was on the Steam Workshop front page for over a week!

Stardew Valley ConcernedApe [PC/Mobile, 2016]
An endlessly charming and exceedingly impressive farming game developed by a single person. I've become far too reliant on mods, which is definitely a me-problem and not any fault of the developer.

Sticky Business Spellgarden Games [PC, 2023]
A chill sticker-business simulator where you create the most cursed sticker designs ever, strain your wrist super hard as you nudge as many as you possibly can onto an individual sticker sheet, and sell them to customers that you have way too easy of a time getting. Five stars.

Subnautica Unknown Worlds Entertainment [PC, 2018]
I don't actually have thalassophobia. This game isn't scary. It is, however, a great ocean-based survival game. I heard they're working on Subnautica 2 and I will definitely play it when it comes out.

Subnautica: Below Zero Unknown Worlds Entertainment [PC, 2021]

Super Auto Pets Team Wood Games [PC/Mobile, 2021] Unfinishable?
My favorite auto battler game for sure, SAP has a surprising amount of intricacy. I'm in the game's official Discord server and sometimes join their weekly brawl.

Super Mario 3D World Nintendo [Wii U, 2013] Finished
One of the many Wii U games I played co-op with my little brother. We had a ton of fun and managed to beat the game together! I still think it's one of the better Mario titles.

Super Mario Odyssey Nintendo [Switch, 2017] Finished
A great 3D platforming game with a shockingly high skill ceiling that I'll never get anywhere close to. I think I got most of the way through it? I'll beat it eventually.

Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 Nintendo [GBA, 2002] Finished?
My very first Nintendo DS was one of the original red ones with a GBA slot, and I had a handful of GBA games. This is the only one I have any real memories of playing. I have vague memories of going back to it as a teen and playing through the whole game, but that might have been on an emulator.

Super Paper Mario Nintendo [Wii, 2007] Finished
I was never able to beat it as a kid because I sucked at gaming, but I went back and beat it as a teenager and loved every minute. The story is fantastic and the art style is beautiful. My profile picture on Steam is a screenshot of Dimentio snapping his fingers to this day.

Superliminal Pillow Caslte [PC, 2020] Finished
What a great puzzle game! I still need to complete the rest of the achievements. The perspective mechanics are trippy but easy to understand.

Terraria Re-Logic [PC/Mobile, 2011] Finished
A childhood staple, I spent hours playing this on my iPad with my little brother back in the day. Years later I'd play it on PC and beat the Moon Lord on multiple occasions. You gotta hand it to Re-Logic for listening to the community, making content and QoL updates, and even officially supporting tModLoader.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Edmund McMillen [PC, 2014] 100% (only up to Afterbirth+)
I have thousands of hours in this game, and yes, you read that right. Before the Repentance DLC came out, I had every one of the game's hundreds of achievements, which didn't only mean beating every challenge and collecting every item, but also beating every major boss with every single character, including the brurtally difficult pre-Repentance Keeper. I'm not sure if I'll ever 100% Repentance, though, because of Tainted Lost. But hey, life finds a way, right? Unlike most other games on here, I'm only cautiously recommending this game to you. 100%ing Afterbirth+ took me thousands of hours.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo [Wii U/Switch, 2017]
My first Legend of Zelda game. I know I'm bi because I had a crush on Link and Zelda at the same time.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo [Switch, 2023]
It's like Breath of the Wild, but, you know, more. Of course it's good.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion Snoozy Kazoo [PC, 2021] Finished (100%)
A goofy action/puzzle game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Took me a little over 2 hours to 100%, so it's not very long. I still think it's a masterpiece in its own right.

Undertale Toby Fox [PC, 2015] Finished
Baby's first fandom? I went crazy over this thing when I played it in the summer of 2017. I remember excitedly telling my middle school best friend (who was also my first gay crush) about it as soon as school started again that fall. I'd pretend to be Alphys, as I was the nerdy one, and she'd pretend to be Undyne, as she was the sporty one. My other friends probably thought we were super annoying but those were some of the days of my life that I look back at the most fondly. I played the neutral route a few times, used an online guide to get the Pacifist ending, then tried the Genocide ending. I was able to beat Undyne the Undying after a whole day of trying but ragequit on Sans.

Vampire Survivors poncle [PC/Mobile, 2022]
It's rare to see a game spawn an entire new genre name, and Vampire Survivors is one of them, resulting in the "Survivors-like" ARPG subgenre. I really like this one. I have all the DLCs but haven't quite 100%ed it yet. The humor in this game is also perfect. More floor chicken, please!

WEBFISHING lamedeveloper [PC, 2024]
A very silly social fishing game that is well worth five bucks. I haven't played it much recently but I'll get back into it eventually.

West of Loathing Asymmetric [PC, 2017] Finished
Some would say West of Loathing is the funniest game ever made. I'm not completely sure because I haven't played every game ever made yet, but it's gotta be close. Everyone talks about how funny it is but I also love the shockingly deep gameplay and combat mechanics. It is an RPG, after all! Go play it if you haven't already.
